Filming Progress
Filming was successfully shot on sunday. A few of us could not make it but overall we have some good footage to work with. The next few lessons will consist of editing the film together and applying various different effects and filters, along with incorporating the soundtrack.

Sparring Example
We're hoping to have the academy students to do sparring while training at the academy, the end of this clip is a perfect example to replicate.

Circular Pan Shot Influence
The first shot of this drama opening sequence uses a circular pan shot. We want to try include this shot by editing the footage with slow and fast motion effects.
Scene Analysis.
This in my opinion is one of the best sources for use of mis-en-scene. Jackie Chan uses nearly every object in the location as a weapon to create a destructive atmosphere within the scene. Among the objects used as weapons are; glass cabinets, clothes racks, electrical equipment, characters clothing, glass fittings, walls, a briefcase, mannequins and finally folding mirrors. He also included objects that might not be found in a shopping mall environment such as baseball bats and bikes.
In this version, a soundtrack has been edited onto the footage but when the film was shot, it was shot without a backing track. Having no soundtrack over the footage really emphasizes any noise that is made to give it more of a powerful effect. The dialogue is kept to a minimum and only fighting noises are heard in a diagetic fashion to make the fight seem as real as possible. This emphasizes the characters emotion.
