Scene Analysis.
This in my opinion is one of the best sources for use of mis-en-scene. Jackie Chan uses nearly every object in the location as a weapon to create a destructive atmosphere within the scene. Among the objects used as weapons are; glass cabinets, clothes racks, electrical equipment, characters clothing, glass fittings, walls, a briefcase, mannequins and finally folding mirrors. He also included objects that might not be found in a shopping mall environment such as baseball bats and bikes.
In this version, a soundtrack has been edited onto the footage but when the film was shot, it was shot without a backing track. Having no soundtrack over the footage really emphasizes any noise that is made to give it more of a powerful effect. The dialogue is kept to a minimum and only fighting noises are heard in a diagetic fashion to make the fight seem as real as possible. This emphasizes the characters emotion.
